Mr John Ivanov is the Master Instructor at South Pacific Taekwondo.

He believes passionately in the growth and evolution of Taekwondo and continues to work through the schools he has started both in Australia and New Zealand to achieve this.

He has promoted Taekwondo in all types of media and lectured to school and university students on the merits of Taekwondo.

In conjunction with the rape crisis centre and other organisations he has developed specialised self-defence courses for women and children.

Mr John Ivanov is qualified as a Master Instructor and also as a Senior Grading Examiner for Taekwondo. He has been Korean graded and certified by Kukkiwon (World Taekwon-do Headquarters in Korea) and Taekwondo International (USA). He travels regularly to Korea to train under the tutelage of 9th Degree Grandmaster Suk Jun Kim.

In addition to his martial arts credentials, Mr John Ivanov is a qualified Justice of the Peace (Qld.) with professional qualifications in Electrical Engineering and the Security Industry. He is also the general manager of Bodyguard Security, which has built a reputation for the provision of elite security for personal protection as well as an unparalleled standard of general security in Australia.
